Hello Rocket French Team,
Signed up a while ago and I have had a chance to explore the course and the learning lounge. All in all, well done! I am learning French and it is quite fun. I think it is a success and it should go far.
I am sure that you are all aware of the areas that need tweaking. I am a web developer and a sound designer so I can see all of the hard work that has gone into your site, which is why I truly appreciate your efforts.
If you really want this site to explode out there in the language market you really need to lock on to those little nitty gritty things that are lurking in the grammar sections of the learning lounge. That is the weakest area of your whole operation. It is pretty darn good, but with just a few CSS tweaks, it could flow much better. I'm looking at it on Firefox and it is jumbled a bit and some areas are crashing into each other, which defeats the purpose of teaching someone in an unconfused manner. There are words that are spoken on the .mp3 that are not written in the section, some of the written words are out of order in relation to the spoken track, little errors (and they are so easily fixed) like that add up and begin to spell doom for consumer confidence. People are paying decent cash and there are some free sites out there that do a pretty good job of feeding you the basics.
Please do not take this as a mean spirited critique, but rather as a "you are close to victory" spiel.
If you can really attack this site one more time with a fresh vigor and an impeccable spirit, you will develop something that can take off like wildfire through word of mouth, email and iphone, and make yourselves a bundle of hard-earned cash.
I hope this helps you out a bit. I'll chime in with more comments as I see them. Great work so far, looking forward to seeing where you take it.
Thanks!
My 2 euros...
