This new update they have done is really annoying. I now can't do any of the exercises in the modules. I get a perpetual circling thing. You would have thought they would have tested it before release. Now the whole programme is completely useless. I have tried it on Chrome and Safari and I have the same problem. I really miss the old format. It was so much more logical and it worked really well.

I clicked on contact us and nothing happens.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Yes, I am.  Exactly what is happening to you.  I tried Chrome, IE, and Firefox, and can't get it to work on any of those browsers.  I didn't click on contact us yet, but will try.  If that fails, will send an email.

For what it is worth, when I go to try to use Rocket German, I get a message that the page I am looking for does not exist.  

Clearly, this version was released without all the bugs being solved ahead of time.

Hi all - Sorry about the issues here. Because of the large amount of data that needed to be migrated to the new system there have been a few teething problems. Most of these should have been sorted out by now. Although we are working through a few points issues.

As above. Very annoying as I can't do the exercises. I use Safari and will continue to do so. The Rocket record facility is missing completely. Hope it's sorted out soon!

Well, I trust what you are saying Jason, but it really is no better at all for me now than when I tried this morning.  Check out "Module 15".  Module 16 is interspersed in there with Module 15, with no rhyme or reason as to the order (the first lesson in Module 15 is lesson 16.1!  Then comes 15.1, then 16.2, etc.). Many of my vocabulary words that I previously marked are missing as well.  And I still cannot bring the lessons in module 12 up at all (have not tried other modules).

I am puzzled as to how this could be released without being as certain as you can be that this transition would be seamless.  Here is hoping that I can get back to studying French soon, because right now, the whole program is pretty useless.

Hi Bob - That is odd re Module 15. I will get that checked out asap. Module 12 works fine for me. What browser/device are you using?

We did go through an extensive alpha & beta testing round over the last few months. Unfortunately "going live" has caused a few unexpected issues mainly around the migration of data/ratings and points. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have tried three different computers today, all desktops, two windows based and one MAC.  I have tried four browsers...Chrome, Firefox, IE, and Safari. Same problem on each computer and same problem on each browser.  

I am also a Rocket German guy, and there are issues there as well.  I really enjoy the courses and think you have hit on the way to teach a foreign language to Americans.  However, tech issues have come up a couple of times recently and it is pretty frustrating when that happens.

Hi Murray - Rocket Record now uses Google Speech to Text API, which is the same tech that drives voice recognition applications. It used to run on Flash, which is on the way out from a tech application point of view. I would recommend sending customer support some screenshots of what you do see and we will be able to get on it.

Hi Bob - Sorry, I should have mentioned that the pagination of My Vocab is being looked at. All your stored My Vocab lists are still there. In fact the search works on the My Vocab page if that helps while we are fixing the issue.

Can't attach the screenshots to the message. Have messaged customer support anyway. I get the written and recorded tutor content but absolutely no sign of how to record myself. There is no icon to click on and no mention of Rocket Record, it's as if it doesn't exist. The "write it" section is ok. Will try again tomorrow. Such a shame as I was enjoying the course.

Hi Murray - Have you tried it in Chrome? The Chrome browser will give the best functionality. Although the record function should still work in other browsers.

The record function just doesn't exist on here. There is no visible sign of it. I don't like Chrome, I don't want to download it but I may try it tomorrow as this course is important to me. Meanwhile I can use the app on my iPhone which is working properly (thank goodness)!

I concur in all comments by Murray. No record function. I use IE which worked perfectly before while the others didn't. I will not use Chrome/Google.

Hi Michael/Murray - Fair enough re Chrome. It will take a while for other browsers to catch up to the functionality of Chrome, particularly with regards to the speech to text functionality.

If Chrome isn't an option for you then I would recommend using either Firefox or Microsofts  Edge browser.

Switched to Chrome from Safari - very slow; pages become unresponsive. Previous version worked much better.  Hope these problems are resolved soon.

For example in the 'read it write it' section (French) there is a wait of several seconds before input of the written response is possible - this is making it virtually useless.

Wow, what a lot of complaints; I too have my share of them.  Now for my comment.

I can't sort out where people are complaining about points, but here's my observation of points I earned, or didn't earn.  I did a few things and earned 112 points; however, when I look at the Leaderboard, it shows that I earned 1484 points.  There truly is a problem with the system; maybe it isn't that people are earning unreal numbers of points, but that the Leaderboard isn't correctly reporting the numbers of points earned.

I tried to post this yesterday, but my comments would not load.

I can now access the lessons, yet a number of problems remain.  FIrst, I took the module 12 exam and passed, but it looks like the fact that I passed the exams on modules 1-11 never transferred over.  In other words, the "new" Rocket French seems to not recognize that I have passed the exam on each module I have studied.

There is still huge problem with the vocabulary and words I initially underlined.  Most of them did not transfer over in the switch and yet whole sentences are underlined as if it were one word, and I never did that.

When I took the "quiz" part of exam 12, I missed only 2 questions out of 25, yet my score was rated "so so".  What is up with that?

By the way, having passed module 12 should have warranted a certificate.  Yet, I am guessing since the "new" Rocket French has no memory of me passing modules 9-11, I guess I won't be getting the certificate?  Of course, that is a minor issue.

Well, it just keeps getting worse.  Today, I attempted to do lesson 13.1 in Rocket French, but the lesson gets stuck at the 5:15 mark.  This happened both on Chrome and Firefox.  I tried to call both the 800 number and the number that starts with 703, and neither picks up.  So, right now, for me, I can't really progress on.  I really hope someone out there is listening, and is there any possible way we can just go back to the older version?  I mean, at least that one was working properly.

I am unsure why the audio track would stop working. Please email customer support with details of your system and browser if that continues to be an issue.

GIVE ME BACK THE OLD VERSION!!  The refresh rate on this is AWFUL!!!!!

It took me 24 minutes to get through 23 words on Write It.  I would not have bought this if the trial had gone like this.  

Improve this or I'll try something else.  I want to learn French, not watch circles on my screen or guess when the mike opens or have my words misunderstood because my dog barks!!!

Still an unacceptable delay between listening and being able to input text. Any idea when this is likely to be resolved? I am using Chrome.

Jason, I have an idea. Why don't you revert back to the old version which worked PERFECTLY WELL on all browsers and then continue to troubleshoot ALL the problems on the new version (or not). That way, we the students, won't be impacted by the current fiasco.

i just sign up the Rocket French Premium 2 days ago, i was very exciting to try out the 2016 new edition, but the interactive audio lesson doesn't work at all, it stop by itself after few seconds. At the beginning i thought it was the browser problem, but i change from Chrome to Firefox and IE the same problem happened, very annoying and frustrating, Can anyone 
tell me when the problem can be fix?

If it helps, Natasha, a lot of us are in the same boat as you.  Like you, I tried different browsers, different computers, different operating systems and all the problems were (are) still there.  I am wondering if it is only the French course that is having issues, or is the problem happening with the other courses (eg, Spanish, Italian, etc.)?

I did talk with someone in customer service yesterday, and while the rep. was very cordial and understanding, she really could provide no answers as to when this will be usable.  My guess is that they are really baffled on this one.  I am not a tech guy at all and do not even want to hazard a guess as to what the issues might or might not be, but I still have a hard time believing that such major issues would have gone completely undetected during the beta testing period.  That would be a real stretch in my view.

I did note some improvements today compared to yesterday.  My passing test scores on previous modules are now recorded and more of my underlined words are there.  Perhaps some progress is being made.
