Hi all, how is your French learning coming along? Are there any particular topics that you would like to learn about? We want to give you even more Rocket French and therefore we would like to know: What do you want? Here are some suggestions that we received in the past, so please feel free to add to the list: -more about "directions" -more lessons about "business" -more lessons on "socializing and going out" We would love to hear from you! :D

it would be great to have some more lessons on how to chat to people in everyday situations, like with friends, going out for dinner, talking about sport. I have listened to some of them already and found them the most useful.

I agree, more on socializing would be good. and also on work and how to talk to your work mates

Here is what I can think of -weather -how to describe someone/yourself -animals/pets -best friends -hobbies -gossiping -nightclubs -visiting family

I agree, it would be great to have more information about situations where people are socializing, such as at the club, bar, theatre, comedy club, cafe and other similar situations.

Hi there, we are currently developing some more Rocket French material and there will also be a section on religion. Here are the words that you requested: God in French is "Dieu" and Jesus Christ is "Jesus Christ" (you don't pronounce the last "s" in Jesus, so it sounds like "Geezu") Have fun learning French!

Bonjour! A little laughter breaks the ice and makes it easier for me to strike up a conversation. With some of my French co-workers I am now able to make little jokes and witty one liners only they will catch on to, so even when it makes no sense….it’s still funny. I would definitely like to learn more casual conversation, as in between friends, talking about their day or plans for the week or what they would like to do. Including describing & explaining things, teasing friends and making jokes. I would like to see some more idioms, similar to lesson 7.2 but based around Quebec or Canadian French. Perhaps some dialogue with a visitor from France? I'm looking forward to new lessons!

Salut Nathalie, I am new to the forum and am still trying to navigate my way around. I am working toward a permanent move to France with my current company and I would welcome some "business language" particularly related to Sales and Marketing. Tres bientot, Andy :)

salut all, I am really having a bit of trouble with numbers, especially when it comes to ninety one ,two etc. I guess the mega french site would help, I have done that a lot but still have to stop and really think before I can understand anything about numbers. merci gary

A couple of years ago I helped out in a local (French) school with children in the age group 7 to 11, just for one hour a week to improve their English. Incidentally I am not, and never was, a school teacher and I'm doing this course because my French needs a lot of improvement (I communicate well but my grammar is appalling, probably as is my accent). The method I used was to give a child a number either in French or English, between 1 and 999, and for them to respond in the other language. I would just ask around the class randomly so that no one was able to prepare in advance. This was just for 5 minutes or so at the end of the lesson. I did not pressurize them and I never let a child struggle but by the end of the year most of them could come straight back with the answer. In total they had about 3 hours over the year so if you can get someone to play the game with you I'm sure you will improve. The children looked forward to it and always made sure that the game wasn't forgotten. If you can get someone to play the game with you it will improve your numbers very quickly. Mike
