Why the pronoun "en" in "tu n'en as pas dormi?"

Personally, I would translate «Tu n'en as pas dormi ?» more
specifically as "You didn't sleep any/at all?" because
en is being used in a partitive sense:
the person didn't sleep during any part of it (with it
being the night or uncountable sleep period).
