Does anyone use Flashcards as a written tool. I know it would be slow, but have considered using the Flashcards as a practice to translate. From English then to write down the Italian before flipping the card.
Your thoughts would be great

Hi sebongela. There is a lot of evidence that writing notes and flashcards is more effective for memory retention than typing into a computer, not just for language learning, but everything, e.g. studies on university students.
I just don't do it myself! I find that trying to remember words without the context of a sentence, is difficult, and ineffective, Just my personal experience, and I'm sure others would find it helpful.
A presto

Buon Giorno ChrisM108
Come stai? I noticed you haven't been around much, hope Italian is going well.
I find it the flashcards it's not the single words, but some sentence structure I find difficult to get my head around and thought it might help. I find the flashcards useful to increase my vocabulario. Have been quite amazed how vocabulary helps when listening to easy news and some of the “Italian Experiment” history lessons. As my understanding and vocabulary increase so does my comprehension. Even my German is growing in leaps and bounds.
Ciao
