What is the difference between a hotel and an Albergo?

The only difference is that Hotel is an English word and Albergo is the Italian equivalent. In Italy both of them are commonly used, sometimes the pronounciation of the English , Hotel , is not quite correct because we forget to read the first letter,H. H has no sound in Italian, so you 'll hear people say: Otel! Va bene? Ciao! ps.The plural of Albergo is Alberghi (an H is added to keep the sound of the hard G, the word Hotel is often not pluralized!)
