Ciao Monique, "how are you?" in Italian is -"come stai?" (friendly version) or -"come sta?" (formal version). I hope this helps. Ciao

I think "come va?" also means "how are you?"

I can't get over how similar Italian, Spanish, and French are: Come Stai / Como estás / Comment ça va? I find that studying all three together is a bonus.

Also "come va?" is "how's it going?"

Ciao a tutti, "come va?" is literally "how is it going?" but mostly translated as "how are you?" most of the time. The three languages could be very similar sometimes. I would suggest to study one at the time as you can get mixed up while during all together. Buon divertimento. ciao
