I want a standard way of saying 'How do you say...........?'
I have written down "Come sei dice......" but I can't find the lesson where some examples were given, and this one doesn't seem to make sense grammatically.
How do you say "How do you say.....?"

Ciao Alice,
this is correct.
The question "how do you say.." is translated as "come si dice.."
Example:
come si dice "amore" in italiano?
how do you say "love" in Italian?
come si dice "leggere" in italiano?
how do you say "to read" in Italian?
I hope this helps.
Ciao

Very useful!
I can see myself asking, "come si dice (insert English word) in italiano" of my bilingual friends quite often.
For example, "Come si dice 'very useful' in italiano", per favore?

You are correct Peter,
this is a very useful sentence!
"Very useful" in Italian is "molto utile".
Easy no?
