Ciao,

Come si dice "It takes me 10 minutes to get to the station" in Italiano?

Penso che uso "per raggiungere la stazione" ma non so come parlare "it takes me".

Grazie,
Drew

Hi Drew,

You would say Mi ci vogliono dieci minuti per raggiungere la stazione.

Ci vuole/ci vogliono translates "it takes". You'll use ci vuole for singular objects (ci vuole 1 minuto - it takes 1 minute), you'll use ci vogliono for plural objects (ci vogliono 2 ore, 5 minuti... - it takes 2 hours, 5 minutes...).

You can also say mi occorre/occorrono, mi serve/servono.

Hope this helps!

Hi Lucia,

That's great, thanks. I've seen that expression in the course I think but I haven't committed it to memory.

Cheers,
Drew
