It's better to take the bus. and Qual'è la strada migliore per ...? :) One uses migliore before or after a noun. In other words, migliore is used as an adjective. In the example stated above, "strada" (lit. street) is what is being described. Meglio is used as an adverb. In the example stated above, "prendersi" is the verb being described.

Ciao a tutti, this is a very common question. "Migliore" is an adjective which can precede or follow the noun. It's the equal of "best" or 'better" in English. (comparative of well: to a higher degree or quality) Example: Tu sei il mio migliore amico = you are my best friend. Questo dolce e' migliore di quello di Sara= this cake is better than Sara's one. " Meglio" is an adverb. Example: Tu dipingi meglio di me = you paint better than me . (literally it means "in a better way") I hope this helps :) ciao
