Level 1 lesson 2.5: きてくれますか vs きてくれませんか

On level 1 lesson 2.5 we have the question いっしょうにきてくれますか。I have been told by another Japanese teacher that it is usually said as いっしょうにきてくれませんか。Are they interchangeable or is one better than the other?

Also, would it be wrong or would it have a similar meaning to say: いっしょうにきませんか。

All of those sentences are correct, however the difference between them is the level of politeness.

The order going from the least polite to the most polite (out of these sentences) is:
1. いっしょ に きません か? 
"Will you come together with me?" (Note: Literally means "Will you not come together with me?")

2. いっしょ に きて くれます か?
"Would you do me the favour of coming together with me?"

3. いっしょ に きて くれません か?
"Would you not do me the favour of coming together with me?"
