Ok, it's been a while (over a year) since I started (and stopped unfortunately) learning Japanese language but I'm back and ready to push harder this time around.
I've never used these forums so not too sure where to I was to have this topic but here it goes.
I currently study Martial Arts (Aikido & Jodo) and need my name properly, and appropriately, written in Japanese on my Hakama (piece of martial art clothing). Could anyone please help me out with it? Now here's the thing, my name isn't as straight forward as "Tommy" or "John" so my dilemma lies in how it should be done correctly in Katakana.
Translated to English, my first name means "God is Greater than man" but in short form means "God is Greater" and my surname means "Wrath of a King" or "King's Wrath" (not a king that's angry but rather one that has a wrath "like" a king)
I have looked around and found these words or sentences, in Romaji & Katakana, but none that help me convey them into a cohesive (authentic as possible) Japanese name. Further more I've not been able to find an audio to hear the correct pronunciation of these words.
We have a martial arts seminar coming up in about 6months and I was hoping to have my name (appropriately done) on my clothing for that so any help would be immensely appreciated. Thank you very much.
Need help with my name in Katakana

I'm not really sure, but that's all I could think of. Those are the characters assosciated with your name's meaning. From left to right: Big, God, King, Wrath.
Now as for the pronunciation, I'm not entirely sure, but perhaps you could read it as Daigami Onu (it's kinda similar to Daisuke Ono, an awesome CV). I'm really not sure, and if I was worried about having a Japanese name, I'd personally just change mine to a Japanese name. I like my name because I'm named after a Scientist, I'd lose that if I tried to Kanji-ize my name.
Oh well, maybe Derek can suggest something.
Oh, on another note, shouldn't it read "Email me when this topic IS updated"?

Uhm interesting. Thanks for your imput. ... I believe I did have the "Email me when this topic IS updated" option ticked though.
I guess the name should be done in Katakana rather than Kanji perhaps but any additional help would be appreciated. Arigattou gozimas.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Pascal. You are indeed pretty much spot on. Did a bit more researching and studying and it would seem you nailed the name. I was quite wrong in thinking it may have to be in Katakana but after going through lessons1 again I can see I made a mistake if I really wanted my name "transferred" into Japanese.
So it would seem my name would translate into Romaji as (I haven't perfected this yet) Kami Idai dan-nan (Kami Idai for short) Ou Gekido (surname)
Thanks again.

You're welcome.
Your reading of the Kanji seems quite long though. Ideally, Derek or Sayaka could come on here and give you a reading. :s
