Konnichiwa! I was listening to lesson 1.3 and I noticed that "suki" sounded like "sue-key" and "ski". Which is the correct way to pronounce it, or can it be pronounced either way? Arigatō gozaimasu!

Konnichiwa Kenzie-san, The pronunciation of すき (su-ki) should be said as two separate syllables. So, first say SU (as in "Sue") then KI (as in "KIm). Of course, in colloquial conversations, (just as in English) some Japanese people may say "SueKey" - extending both syllables or even saying "Ski" fast and short. However, as a learner, it is best to pronounce each syllable clearly - then once you get the hang of it, say it a bit fast. Hope that helps! -Sayaka ;)
