Ikura as cost vs. a price to be paid...

I'm new to the course and loving it. Domo arigato gozaimashita! This is really going to give me a leg up when I start my Asian studies master in the fall. To the point: I was wondering if there was a different word used to indicate a price to be paid, like a hole in your shoes from walking 100 miles, versus the monetary cost of a product? :P Does that make sense.

Bevin-san, Konnichiwa! Gomennasai. I was actually a little stuck on that question myself (though being a Japanese native), It's a challenging question, could you share with us what you figured out? Arigato gozaimasu!

Konbanwa! The concept in English would be the difference between a "monetary" price and "that's was you get", example the price you pay for trying to pet a wild wolf is getting bitten. Does that make more sense? Sometimes concepts in one language have two different words, I believe I was just over thinking it. I figured out that there is no difference as far as I can tell. I looked through some of my books. I'm still very very new to this. Gomennasai.

Bevin-san, There is no need to apologize!! Even though Japanese is my native language there are many things I have learned so far being part of the Rocket Japanese Team and surely, will be learning as learners like you ask such excellent and complex questions... I will certainly let you know if I find out more about your question. Arigato!
