Learning from a teacher

Can anyone help me with how to interpret this phrase?

Iroiro naraimashita. 色々習いました。It was used after working with a teacher.

色々 (Iroiro) means “various” and 習いました (naraimashita) means “learned” in the past polite form; it comes form the verb 習う (narau) “to learn.” So, literally, this phrase means “learned various” as in “(I) learned various things.” So more naturally, it would translate to “(I) learned a lot."
