is nihon go correct or nihongo correct? or are both correct?

Konnichiwa! *Nihon-go, nihongo*, and *nihon go* are all correct. In Japanese the word *nihongo *is written in Katakana as: にほんご  Or in Kanji: 日本語 So, in Katakana or Kanji there is no separation between *nihon* and *go*. Literally, *nihon go* translates as "Japan-language". So you will see *nihongo* written with a gap in between *nihon* and *go* separating the noun and the suffix *GO*, which refers to "language". The *GO* can attach to any language. So, _Spanish_ or _Spain-language_ is: *Supein-GO* And, _German_ or _Germany-language_ is: *Doitsu-GO*

Yes! Eigo is Ei-go, just like, Nihon-go. The "go" translates as "language"
