Hello, actually I know what's the meaning of "yoroshiku (onegai shimasu)". It meant something like 'please point out my errors and teach me when I'm wrong'. But since English doesn't have the "proper" word for this, it is often translated as 'Nice to meet you.' 8)
OK. The question is this. If "yoroshiku" meant something like 'Nice to meet you', then why it is used so often when people are talking? Sometime, when I was watching some Japanese movies, it heard it often. But the subtitles are nothing to do with "nice to meet you", and it is not used with "hajimemaste" either.
How what is its REAL meaning and how do we use "yoroshiku"?
Yoroshiku?

I think it has more of the meaning: 'Please be kind to me/Please be kind to me in the future'.

Wong-san,
Konnichiwa!
*yoroshiku* (よろしく) literally meaning _"well/favorably"_ is short for *yoroshiku onegaishimasu* (よろしくおねがいします) meaning _"I request your favorable treatment"_, a formal phrase used when asking a favor.
For example. your mother, fed up with your father, decides to leave the house for some time (in search of her life?) and leaves you (her daughter or son) saying: おとうさんをよろしく。*Otousan o yoroshiku*. Which word for word translates to -
_father - direct object marker - well (treat well) _
Now, taking the meaning _"I request your favorable treatment"_ - here *Otousan* (おとうさん) is the direct object, so it becomes _"I request your favorable treatment of father."_  _*"Please take care of father."*_
