Great product; an overall fantastic way to learn/practice a language. However, the narrator's pronunciation in the Rocket French lessons (level 2) is comically bad at best and cringe-worthy at worst. A great example of what NOT to say. For context of my experience, I recently finished Pimsleur's 5 levels of French which is strictly focused on speaking and listening. Pimsleur is better in that regard, however, I don't recommend buying two services like I did. Rocket French seems to take you closer to fluency. I'm sure you can get everything you need from Rocket Languages. Salut !

Thank you for your review. We are so glad to hear that you are enjoying Rocket French and that it's helping you reach your French fluency. We will make sure to pass your feedback regarding the narrator to the French team. We wish you all the best in your journey to French fluency!
I like everything so far on the trial membership, except for the "rating" task that forces you to rate each word of the flashcards. It's tedious and who knows how to categorize each word anyways? The modules are fun!
I was happy with Rocket French in the beginning but as I am now in lesson 6 I find it extremely frustrating. I cannot remember 2-3 phrases and then say them quickly enough. I am constantly being cut off in mid sentence, and no I haven't paused, and the voice recognition is not very good.

Rocket French is a great course and I've learned way more French than I have for 3 years in school. I'm now getting better marks in French class because I finally know more than the rest of the class. One thing that I didn't really like was that the voice recognition software doesn't work for me as it doesn't recognize what I'm saying even though I'm copying Paul and Marie-Claire. I also find this program a little pricy even though it's worth it.
Bonjour! Je m'appelle Laurice. Je viens des Philippines.. I am having trouble with some lessons yet the CostumerService chat doesn't have anyone to chat so no one would help me out. I am unsatisfied because someone would be online by the time I wouldn't need help and now I really need help, no ones there to chat. Anyway, it also has helped me a lot. To let you know, I am only 11 years old yet I am willing to know more about different languages and learn about it, fun fact: we are still not studying different kinds of languages but I know that this will be really helpful in the future.

Pros:
+good quality audio and content
+many different exercises to practice
+audio recognition exercises
+daily rank is very motivating
Cons:
-pricing is high due to exchange rate (PLN/USD)
-Mobile app UI (android) is not well designed (too small icons; far away buttons; a lot empty space; hand becomes quickly tiered from jumping from record icon to easy/medium/hard button)
-a little too much English in recordings
Ideas:
-bigger buttons; small mobile app redesign
-access to recording transcript (more than just one sentence at a time)
-accumulation of all flashcards and other exercise into one big place to exercise what I already should know;

Thanks so much for your feedback, Kris. We will pass this on to our developer team for their consideration. All the best with your language learning!
It is fun to learn French pronunciation and more about the grammar. I also think it is good for my seventy-six-year-old brain to try this new exercise!
I've just started the first few lessons and I really like the conversational approach to learning and the additional form of testing that follows. Unlike other learning platforms that I've tried that encourage you to speak, Rocket's approach of using voice recognition makes it into a kind of game where you feel that speaking correctly matters. I also love how you can stand in for one of the speakers in a pseudo-realtime conversation. It feels that one step closer to learning with another person. On the negative side, I find the male teacher to be a bit too 'smily', like he is talking to children. This isn't especially off-putting when we get to the actual conversations and explanations but it doesn't really help with learning. I guess they wanted the male and female teachers to have some kind of rapport with the students but it feels forced.
It is very good over all, I do not like that the system seems to have trouble picking up one syllable words, but besides that I am enjoying the program very much!

I have been using the program for about a month and a half now and I have found it somewhat useful. My level is above that of a new beginner but not quite yet intermediate. My concerns about the program, starting with the idea that most people want what will be most useful i.e. picking up useful spoken language for travel, is that particularly when testing, the program expects your responses to be almost in the same order as their introduction. If the expected answer starts with Tu and you use the Vous form, you are marked as incorrect. The program should note what form is wanted. A "hint" function also would be nice to help someone with responses as learning, not just simple memorization, is the goal. The program also occasionally makes some unexpected detours from what is useful. For example, one lesson moved from general travel issues to a flight of fancy to go skiing. I did not find a lot of useful information in that lesson. Finally, today I took a test which contained a large number of questions involving the "passe simple". The last question on the test asked how much one would expect to hear the passe simple and the correct answer was "almost never". So, I feel a lot of time was wasted that could have been better spent elsewhere. I hope these comments are considered helpful. There are good things here but a few tweaks would make it much better.
