I was always fascinated by Chinese culture and language and thats why i decided to purchase Rocket Languages. I payed for this course 5 years ago but unfortunately as soon as i completed lesson 1 too many things came up in my life that i had to stop. Now 5 years later i decided to come back to it (luckily i had written the password) because my passion for Chinese was still there. Anyway I give Rocket Languages a highly recommended review because it really makes it easy for you to follow.

Here I go again, I thought! Yet another attempt to learn a language I have been studying from the age of 11 years. I am now nearly 70. I just don't seem to be grasping the speaking part! I can understand reasonably well what is spoken to me, but by the time the brain cells function and my mouth begins to open another topic as been started. Enter Rocket Language, stage left. Brilliant! I can start where I want.
I have been studying French for the past 2 years. I always had difficulty with speaking the language. Rocket French has helped very much with my confidence in speaking the language. Rocket French has proven to be a fun way to improve my French language skills
I like RocketLanguages' overall approach, but I don't like that the Test area only accepts one answer. Sometimes there are multiple correct answers, and those should be revealed as correct answers as well. Another thing that could be improved is the amount of content from previous lessons that's interspersed into later lessons. The quizzes in particular should test knowledge from previous lessons as well as the current lesson.

I had actually done the Rocket Spanish and I was a bit disappointed with Rocket Japanese. I do not feel that there are enough lessons to get an understanding of the material. I also do not feel that verbs were covered enough.

I purchased Rocket Languages last year, but haven't had much of a chance to practice. I emailed the question if there is a time limit that I must learn my language by. They quickly responded that I have a Lifetime membership. That is what I was expecting, and what they delivered. Very Good. I encourage others to buy their language product and not be worried about how long it takes to learn. And that even includes any changes and improvements that they make to the course in the future.
With that type of Customer Service, they can be trusted!! Steve

Love it, love it, love it. I have done Rossetta Stone and Duolingo. Of course, I did learn a lot with them but I like this method better. You not only learn the language but about the culture. I just hope I have a discount when I want to learn other languages. I know a little of French and want to improve. Doing Italian right now. After French I want to do Portughese.

Summary: It is most important to start SPEAKING a language as soon as possible to get comfortable with it. I think that Rocket does a decent job getting you ready with some key phrases, pronunciation, and review, but it overloads the learner with too much new vocabulary per lesson.
Format: I really like the audio format in a nice progressive pace and it's less 'cluttered' than the popular pod101 program.

I signed up over 5 years ago and every time I have had any issues or just a simple question they have always been there. The lessons are spot on and learning Spanish, is Rocket fast!
Keep up the great customer service, Johnny B

Unlike Rosetta stone this teaches you things you can actually use and provides actual instruction. There is a good mixture of interactive audio lessons, activities, flash cards, review and more. It's nice to hear a native speaker and a non native (American) one too. I enjoy that this include some cultural pointers too. I can avoid ordering the wrong type of coffee for the wrong time of day! The mobile app seems a bit unresponsive. This has led me to doing most things on my Mac and listening to the audio portion on my iPhone on the way to work. I took a couple of years of Italian in college and this is a good way to learn all I forgot. It's helpful to have an explanation of some of the literal phases. Overall, great product for the money.
