Days of the Week in Russian

There are tons of reasons to learn the days of the week in Russian, so today's your lucky day!

Pronouncing the days of the week in Russian


The Russian word for 'day' is день and the word for 'week' is неделя. Let's listen to them here: 

The Russian week usually starts counting from Monday. Let's now hear how  the days of the week sound in Russian:

You may have noticed that Russian days of the week are not capitalised like English.
