Why would one say Es muy amable instead of Tu eres muy amable?

Hola Val, Es muy amable is the formal usage with usted, él, ella, es amable for clarification and eres muy amable is the familiar. The tú is optional used for emphasis as eres implies tú. Saludos, Rich
