First of all, is there a ‘how to’ site?

Secondly how do I replay my role playing conversation?  I answer and record but then would like to replay the entire converation with ME as the participant.  Is this possible

There is a help site if you click on your account in the top right hand corner.

AFIK there is no way of playing back the whole conversaion with your audio. You can only play back the individual sentences.

Personally, I find the role playing exercises very useful, especially for revsion with the target language switched off, but it took me a while to be able to do this.

When you play a role in a conversation at the end of the conversation a box will appear under the name of the person you are playing labelled “replay”. Select this box and the whole conversation will play with your voice as the person you are playing.  If you role pay again as the second person the “replay” box will appear under that name.

Wow I've had Rocket German for several years and used play it a lot, but I never discovered that! :-)

Wow, I always assumed “Replay” was a “Do Over” not a replay of the conversation with my voice. Thanks for sharing that!!

Thanks so much for your posts everyone. I just wanted to let you know that I have suggested to the tech team that Replay should be changed to Listen (or something similar), in order to prevent further confusion. We will let you know if the the change is processed. 

That sounds like a good idea for dimwits like me!

I still can't believe I never discovered what the replay button did.

Has the “replay” feature using your own recorded voice been removed?  I only see two buttons after the conversations “play again” and “close”.  The play again button just repeats the conversation in the original tutor's voice.

Thank you for your question! The voice playback feature should still be available in the course. For reference, a play button should appear on the bottom right of the phrase box once you have recorded your voice:

However, this feature is not supported by all browsers, so I recommend using an updated version of Google Chrome or Safari to take full advantage of it.

I took that to mean that one's voice would be used in the role playing scenario for the entire conversation as one of two parties.

Thanks for clarifying! Our Role Playing feature has undergone some significant updates, including the incorporation of the video feature, in the past six months. As such, the ability to replay the full conversation with your voice as part of it is no longer part of the activity, but you should still be able to playback your voice recording for the individual phrases in the conversation.
