It looks to me that someone from the IT messed up the web version again.
Suddenly all my exercises that I've done, that used to be green, now turned yellow, even if there were very few mistakes.
That is not motivating at all and if rocket languages was a subscription modell I would quit right now!!!
This is not what I bought almost 2 years ago and why are you making it worse???
Why are all results of exercises suddenly yellow instead of green???

I just checked it again.
27 Flashcards, 26 rated as “easy”, one rated as “good”
→ the result is 26 “easy”, one “HARD”, but not “good”
→ it is displayed yellow
If one manages to get 100% right, it doesn't turn green either, but looks gray like one has never done that exercise.
Are those worsening updates not being tested before they are released?
I have payed for this and I am not willing to be a beta-tester for updates that make this worse and frustrating. Don't mess with a running system … have the IT-people never heard about that?

Hi Armin,
Which lesson are you referring to? If you let me know that then I can investigate further.
The only change here is that we have rationalized the rating colors. There is no functionality change.

I was shocked by that change and tested it in lesson 15.0
The result only shows “easy” and “hard” results, but not the “good” anymore.
It also doesn't display anymore during the exercise how much you currently have in your ratings.
And, just one “good” rating instead of “easy” is enough to make it appear yellow.
So we have to be superhuman and get 100% right for it to be displayed in green, one mistake → yellow.
And things are not black and white, there is not only easy or hard, I don't feel either great or miserable, there is a lot in between.

Based on ArminZ's reply, I'd agree with him.

Hi Armin/Chris,
Thanks for your patience. I want to clarify the change you're seeing with the exercise results.
There hasn't been a functionality change; the exercises are working as they always have. What we've done is update the visual representation of the activity ratings to align with current best practices in UX design.
Previously, the icons used a non-standard color/icon scheme:
- Fully green icon: Signified fully complete.
- Green icon with a red dot: Meant complete, but with some phrases not marked "Easy."
- Grey icon with a blue outline: Indicated started but not finished.
- Grey icon: Showed an activity that hadn't been started.
Our aim was to standardize the icon colors and design for a more intuitive and consistent user experience.

Okay,
in kinda understand your explenation, but I disagree, because:
What's more intuitive in seing a big yellow icon, when one has only made one mistake?
At least my personal experience is, that it's very frustrating, because “green” indicates “good” and yellow indicates “medium”, “red” indicates bad.
But we get a yellow icon as soon as there is only one flashcard that we haven't finished as “easy”.
How is that best practices in UX design, how is that a more intuitive and consistent user experience?
In my experience the previous design was more refined and delicate and less frustrating as the new one.
Green icon with a red dot: there are some phrases that can be improved
big yellow icon: you made a mistake you fool, you have to be 100% perfect
That's a bit exagerated, to bring across my point.

I believe that the color standards in the certification are:
green = 80% or more correct answers
yellow = less then 80% correct answers
So, I'd say that the new “design” is not consistent with the user experience.

And I found this: https://uxdesigners.io/insight/ux-design-best-practices/
one quote
“User-centered design involves understanding the user's behavior, needs, and motivations. This understanding is achieved through techniques such as user research, persona creation, and user journey mapping. These techniques help designers understand the user's perspective and design solutions that meet their needs.”
