it is sincerly difficult to make difference between essere and stare. perche?

Ciao Franck, "essere" means "to be" or "to exist'. It is usually used : - to introduce yourself Example: Io sono Maria - as an compound verb Example: sono stata in citta' ( I've been to the city) -to indicate where something or someone is located Example: la sedia e' nella camera da letto (the chair is in the bedroom) "Stare" is usually the translation of the verb "to stay" or "to remain". It is usually used : -to indicate how you or someone else feels Example: sto bene. (i'm well). -to indicate where something or someone is located Example: la tavola sta in cucina (the table is in the kitchen) -in some idiomatic expression as "stare bene" Example: Quella gonna le sta bene (that skirt suits her) I hope this helps ciao
