Ciao a tutti I am confused with "Qui/Qua & Là/Lí". Let say "it is here". Should we use qui or qua? How to differentiate it? Annie

Ciao Annie, "qui/qua" are the translation of "here" and they are are interchangable. To be a little more precised, "qui" is used to indicate a place where a person speaks from or a place very close to that person. The meaning of "Lì" and "là" is "there/over there". They are used to indicate a place far from the person who is speaking and who is listening. "Là" is a bit more specific. I hope this heps. Ciao
