Working on Lesson 4.8. In this sentence - “Scrivete cartoline spesso per la tua zia in Germania?”, the subject, you, is plural. For “your aunt”, wouldn't “la vostra zia” be correct? Or am I confused (again)?

Ciao Susan!
In Italian, the choice between "tua" and "vostra" depends on the level of formality and familiarity.
"Tu" is used for singular and informal situations, and "voi" is used for plural or formal situations.
So, "tua zia" is appropriate when addressing someone informally or when speaking to one person. If you're addressing multiple people or if you want to add a formal touch, you could say "la vostra zia."
In the sentence "Scrivete cartoline spesso per la tua zia in Germania?" the use of "tua" implies informality and suggests that the speaker is addressing one person or a group of people in an informal context.
I hope this clarifies things for you! If you have more questions or if there's anything else I can assist you with, feel free to ask.
