Qual è la differenza fra questi due verbi: essere e stare?

Hello :)

I just realised today that both are a "to be" verb/s right?

If i am correct, essere is used to refer to what and how you are doing or feeling, where as stare what you are doing in actions? I am a little confused between the two and could do with some more clarification please :)

Also was my question in the topic written correctly?

Grazie tante :D

Ciao rigoletto,

I answered a similar question some time ago and you may find it useful. Here: https://members.rocketlanguages.com/members/forum/conversation-in-italian/sto-v-sonno

If you need more clarifications, don't hesitate to ask.

Your question is grammatically spot-on! :D Qual è is a tricky expression even for native speakers. Keep it up!
