Just checking to see which is correct - una buon'idea (as in lesson 3.8) or una buona idea (lesson 5.3). Is either form correct???
una buon'idea or una buona idea

Hi AnnetteV,
The correct form is "una buona idea." The adjective "buona" agrees in gender with the feminine noun "idea." So, when referring to a feminine noun like "idea," you use the feminine form of the adjective, which is "buona."
In some cases, the apostrophe might be used to combine the final vowel of an article with the initial vowel of a noun for smoother pronunciation, but in this instance, it's not necessary. Therefore, "una buona idea" is the grammatically correct form.
I hope this helps!
Best regards,
Enxhi

Grazie! Non sono sicura di grammatica italiana!

Your sentence is almost perfect! To enhance it a bit, I added "della" before "grammatica italiana" to convey possession more explicitly. So, the refined sentence is: "Grazie! Non sono sicura della grammatica italiana!" Keep up the great work! If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask. Buon proseguimento!
