Ciao a tutti.
This lesson 4.9 has been the most difficult lesson to get my head around!! I am finding it difficult to think quickly enough to come up with a sentence and in the correct order.
Any tips or advice?
Regards
Gary

Hi Gary
I sympathize having the same issues with level 5 rammar section, am really stuck and the only way I have even begun to get my head around it is by going over it again and again. In the hear it and say it, I try and visualize the actual sentence and its translation. So try and do a bit everyday and hoping it is going to eventually make sense.
I also need to look at some of my grammar books,as there may be more clarity there. Not sure where you live, but libraries are a great source I find, but there are some whole books available on the web too. Good luck!

Hi thank you for responding and your helpful tips.
Since I posted this I have been practising this every day to try and make it natural, because prepositions are used so much and link almost every sentence.
I have been writing my own sentences and then checking online using a translating tool so I am not only using Rocket Italian sentences.
I have also enjoyed using Youtube watching and listening to videos with sub-titles, it adds variety to my learning.
I am in England so our libraries are very useful but closed at the moment because of the virus.
Hope you continue to enjoy your learning and improve very day.

Hi Gary
Yes, repetition and practice, goes a long way. I use several resources to try and get the practice I need. I think Rocket is a wonderful resource, but when it comes to the more complicated grammar scenarios, I know I need extra resources. I find by using several books for Italian grammar helps to reinforce these concepts. No book can possibly cover everything well. I do stay away from those that claim learn grammar in a week. I speak Portuguese (from Portugal) or more specifically from Mozambique. Quite different to Brazilian Portuguese, But can't read much let alone write it. Don't speak grammatically correctly either. Have realized that my spoken Portuguese is way ahead of my Italian, but that my writing and reading Italian is far better. We live on Vancouver Island, so have been very fortunate with the whole Covid scenario, so no serious lockdown. I have been tempted to add another Rocket language, but am then worried that I am not going to be able to spend as much time on the Italian. So will wait a bit. Happy learningÂ
