Can you improve lesson 5.7?

Lesson 5.7 was confusing to me. Not because of the Spanish, but for the English equivalents used. For example in the Hear It section it says That boat is far away and the answer given uses aquel. That's OK by itself but the next thing to translate is Those(farther away) and the answer is esos/esas. In my way of thinking farther away would more distant than far away, so I got them backwards. I had that problem throughout the lesson when I tried to translate your english to Spanish.I recommend you revise the english to be clearer.  Maybe using "this", "that", and "that way over there" would be clearer. .
Also the quiz was tricky. The first picture shows a lady holding a bunch ot purses and we must fill in the blank Quiero____bolsas. I assumed it is the lady talking and but the answer was esas even though she is holding them in her hands.
Once I figured things out I did OK with the lesson, but thought a change might help the next person that gets to 5.7.
Gracias, Don

I don't remember lesson 5.7 but let's see if I can remember this right...
- Estos - these
- Esos - those there
- Aquellos  - those way over there

I think the problem you had might be with the extra expression in Spanish that we don't have in English. We have this or these, meaning things close to us, and that or those, meaning things farther away from us. But we don't have a word like aquel to mean things distant from us. When I work through those words I try to visualize an object close...este, farther away...ese, and even farther yet away, or distant...aquel.

I think of aquel as meaning "that, out yonder".  I agree that the first question of that quiz should probably indicate that we are talking about the woman holding the purses.  The rest of the questions were pretty straight forward.
