Complements to Rocket Spanish

I just finished going through Learning Spanish Like Crazy (LSLC) levels 2 and 3. I find it to be the perfect complement to RS, providing me the opportunity to do various drills on my iPod while I'm walking. I had recommended Barron's Mastering Spanish in the past but I do find LSLC to be superior.

I am halfway through www.veintemundos.com, a free web site which presents interesting stories (9 min apiece) - terrific for learning vocabulary and picking up cultural insights.

Many thanks to Ricardo, Diane, Dan and others for initially bringing these to our attention. I wouldn't have know about them otherwise.

Steven: can you repost that link? The only thing that shows is www. I am always looking for additional study material and I would like to check this out.

Right now I am spending a little time each day listening to and reading a story in Veintimundos, and doing the associated exercises. Good practice in the "receiving" skills.

Hi Dan. That's it: veintemundos.com. I'm doing a lesson there each day. Good stuff.

Hola a todos. Ayer yo encontré este vídeo:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4LOyJykgUI
Es muy interesante y tambien hay una página web: http://www.carolinasspanish.com/
Yo sé hay muchas páginas web y muchos cuentos como este pero hay unos consejos buenos.

Yesterday I found this video and website from a Swedish girl about her story of learning Spanish in six months. I know there are many websites and stories out there like this but I thought there were some good tips on it!

Thanks for sharing, Jo. I happened upon her YouTube videos a few months ago but forgot about them.

I think it is interesting how you can hear her native language influencing her Spanish. Of course almost everyone's native language is reflected in their new language, but I am used to hearing English inflections, both American and British English.

Hi everyone, These links sound very interesting. I think I'll try them out myself and find them very helpful.
