I have 115609 points and was a gold star master but suddenly I am a novice. What happened?

I am pocos puntos from gold, and it's a big enough jump from gold to platinum (difference of 86,000 points) without having being dropped back down to Novice again! : D Well, back to square 1... :' (

I think there is some kind of glitch going on. I saw one of the (I think) german students making the same complaint the other day.
