yademas: It is not just you. Alejandra does speak faster, and in my opinion, she sometimes runs her words together so that I cannot sort them out. But, we are in the advanced course, so we should expect to be challenged at a higher level. It is also more like listening to native speakers converse. I spent 3 weeks living with a Costa Rican family last fall. When they would talk with me they slowed down and were more understandable. But when they talked with one another I tried my best to listen in and was usually lucky to understand one or two words per sentence between the fast pace and clipped words.
I have found that I need to spend lots more time on each lesson in this course than I did in Level 2. You might be in the same boat as me.
