Rocket Spanish - Updated Level 2 Language & Culture Lessons, New Numbering

Hi Everyone!

We've made a few updates to Rocket Spanish Level 2 and Level 3!

In Level 2, we've created all-new Language & Culture lessons that now span seven modules instead of five. With these new lessons you'll get improved explanations, new topics, and a whole host of new Spanish examples - all of which will help you with your Spanish learning.

So that the Interactive Audio lessons can match up properly, we have spread them out over seven modules as well instead of the original five. However, nothing else has changed here: they are still the same lessons you know and love, in the same order!

The fact that there are now more modules in Level 2 mean that we've also had to bump the lesson numbers in Level 3 up by two modules. This just means that what used to be Module 15 is now Module 17. The content is all the same!

Since the changes we have made to Level 2 have involved adding new lessons to the course, your progress will unfortunately start from scratch for these. However, we are sure that you will find them a massive improvement on the old lessons!

Enjoy the new content - and please let us know what you think!

Best wishes,

The Rocket Languages Team

I don't really get the whole 'Rocket Language' thing because I just started and I never got instructions on what to do or what the goal is

¡Hola MilaE2!

Thank you for your question!

We have actually just implemented a tutorial feature in the new 2021 Edition version of the site, which gives you a quick overview of the different components of the course and how it all works. You can find it by visiting your Level 1 Dashboard and clicking on "Find out how everything works!" in the top right-hand corner of the page.

Once you've been through the tutorial and know how the components work, you can get started by trying out the lessons. You can approach them in any way that you like, although we generally recommend going through in numerical order as the lessons build on one another.

If you still have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Saludos,

Liss

probably my errors, but i find your system difficult to navigate. I would like to ask questions within the body of the lesson; i.e. andar vs. caminar. in order to ask this question i have to go to a different (screen?)?

¡Hola JonW27!

Thanks for your question!

If you're having trouble navigating through your Spanish course, it might be helpful to check out our Take a Tour video for Rocket Spanish, which you can watch here on YouTube:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YnI6Z5gyQI0

This will show you where everything is and how it all works!

As for how you can ask questions about particular lessons (or about Spanish in general), you can:

  1. use the “Search” function at the top right of your screen to look for the word or topic you'd like to ask about. (So, if you'd like to know the difference between andar and caminar, you can type "andar," “caminar,” or even “andar caminar into the search.) In the search results, you'll be able to see if anyone has already asked the same question in the forum and received an answer. You'll also be able to see if the topic you've searched for is addressed in any lessons.
  2. post your own question in the forum if one doesn't already exist. To do this, just open up the forum and click on the red button that says “Start a new conversation.” There, you'll be able to give your forum post a title and decide what forum category it falls under (andar vs. caminar is a vocabulary question, so you would select “Spanish - Vocab”). Then, you can write your question and click “Post your conversation” at the bottom of the page.

I hope that this is helpful!

Saludos,

Liss
