A few days ago I asked a question about Lesson 13.1 The Wedding. Carmen goes over the formation of the future tense, using the verb 'ser'. She seems to be saying "será" for the first person singular form, rather than "seré", which it should be. Amy later confirms this incorrect form. Shouldn't this lesson be removed and corrected? Or am I missing something?

¡Hola!
Sorry for the delay! I have checked the lesson you mention and I cannot find where either Carmen or Amy are incorrect about the future tense of the verb 'ser'. You are definitely right in that 'seré' corresponds to 'yo' (I) and 'será' corresponds to 'él/ella/Usted' (he/she/you sing formal, or it), but I cannot find the sentences where they are used incorrectly... Could you please be more specific about where are the mistakes? We would appreciate it a lot!!

I believe the mistake that Kathleen heard is when Carmen is conjugating the future tense. The "yo" form definitely sounds like "será" when Mauricio uses it he says "seré". I recall taking note of this way back and figured it was just an audio error or something. Good ear Kathleen!

I have replied to two emails re: The Wedding and the conjugation of the future tense. The mistakes occur outside of the conversation, when Amy asks Carmen to conjugate the verb "ser" in the future tense. Carmen pronounces the first person singular form as "será" and then repeats the ending as "á". Amy also repeats this mistake, but Mauricio later pronounces it correctly.

I was just reviewing this lesson and was confused by the same issue as Kathleen was 2 years ago. At first I thought I learned the conjugation incorrectly, then thought I was mis-hearing, but after listening several times, I am sure they give the wrong conjugation for the yo conjugation.

It's been a long time since I've looked at that lesson but I definitely remember the incorrect conjugation. I'm a bit surprised this hasn't been corrected.
