Important! Remember What You Learn

You might notice a couple of interesting (or puzzling!) points here. The word for "music" becomes feminine in French! This is because French has distinctions for every single name or noun, and all of them are either masculine or feminine in gender. Weird, but absolutely true!
Another point is that when you are asking about a musical artist, as in Jack Johnson, this becomes “some” in French, or du. For example, you could say du Brel, du Pink Floyd or du Tchaikovsky!
Here are some useful words when listening to music at home, in the car or at a concert.
