I am currently on lesson 1.6 and I like it so far... using it in combination with Duolingo and LanguageTransfer... Something I would really like would be the have the discussion/lesson be a video rather than just audio!
It is very interactive!
My initial experience was not good due to a problem setting up my user credentials. After that was resolved and I was able to login, my experience was fantastic! The dashboard, format of instruction and interactive learning tools using conversations are excellent. I have no need for any other learning platform!
This is great for hearing frequent conversation. Problems with speech recognition are frequently perhaps 50 percent of the time I cannot use voice

I think the Rocket format is a solid tool for learning - especially for beginners. Each lesson is a conversation between two people that you study and use to learn vocabulary and grammar. I always enjoyed that the format gave me little "stories" I could grab on to as memory aids. It really gave me a great start.
As my enthusiasm waned, as it always will when learning something new and moving past the beginner phase, I found that the rocket format started to bog me down a little. Some lessons would have over 60 phrases to practice and memorize. I'd get bogged down trying to get through the homework. I felt my learning speed was slowing down as I entered Level 2 of the course, and I began to turn to other tools like "Spanish Dict (spanishdict.com)" to augment the material and speed me up.
I think the course could be improved drastically in three ways.
1) Shorten Lessons. People like to move through lessons quickly. It produces a sense of accomplishment. This means, reducing the number of phrases to be mastered in each lesson.
2) Enhance Memorization Tools. There are well known systems for reviewing words and the idea of building a deck of flashcards you can continuously review is missing from the toolkit of Rocket Spanish.

I am having an awesome time and moments leaning Spinach in a really fun ways on Rocket Languages.
glad that my best friend gifted me this course for my birthday <3
I am enjoying the opportunity to exercise different styles of learning (listening, speaking, and writing). However, I am frustrated that the transcripts don't always reflect what I have said. Listening to my voice proves that.
do you have paper back books for the lessons so we can keep learning when not on the computer
Response from Rocket Languages
Thank you for your review. Unfortunately we don't have any books, I'm sorry. However, if reading offline is your preference, you can print all of the lessons out - just click on Control P, or Command P on a mac. You can also download all of the Interactive Audio lessons for listening to on-the-go.
I hope that helps!
I enjoy Rocket Spanish because of the balanced approach to learning the language with a mix of spoken and written language. If there was an improvement I could make to the course it would be to make it easier to build group of flash cards for the words that are difficult for me to remember.
