"Doch" is used in different ways. When you are saying "Let's all" do something, doch is thrown in to make it sound more friendly. "Machen wir doch einen Spaziergang," Let's go for a walk. "Bestellen wir doch eine Flasche weiss wein." Let's order a bottle of white wine. Also, "doch" is used to contradict something. "Sie haben kein Geld." "Doch! I habe viel geld."
