I would like to speak German, but I also need to be able to translate german language email correspondence in both directions. Currently I use a tool called Systrans, but it doesn't do the best job at translating. I am looking for a course that will teach me both sides of the German language; speaking/listening and reading/writing.

Hi Tom and welcome to the forum,
I bought this course a couple months ago, my experience is little but I hope I can help you. In this course you have audio lessons that will help you to SPEAK German, but if you also want to learn how to writte, there is also a very good written material in PDF format that explains all the gramar and vocabulary and there is also a written version of the audio lessons at the website so you can learn how everything is written, in resume, a very complete and effective course.

Thanks, I purchased RocketGerman and am enjoying the courses. I like the idea of MP3s to listen to while I am doing other things. Now, I just need to portion off more time to study! :D

Hi,
the e-book consists of 31 Grammar Chapters with 624 exercises. Simply go to https://www.rocketlanguages.com/german/ and fill in your log in details. Once you are in the members download area you will see a download option called "Rocket German Grammar Downloads". Simply click on that and download the chapters. You don't have to download all the chapters in one go, as you can return to the download area anytime. Have fun!
