German Pronunciation Keys?

Is there anywhere I can look up a German word and get a pronunciation key (or perhaps even audio files with the word spoken in correct German)? Thanks! Bill

That is a very good question indeed. One dictionary I would recommend is leo (dict.leo.org). If you click on the little information icon next to a word it gives you the option to get a more detailed definition and an audio file . The sound quality isn't that great, but at least it's something. I hope that helps.

Hallo everyone, you might want to try http://german.about.com/ It's a wonderful, free resource about everything German with lessons, spelling, specific vocabulary such as office, food, etc. and has audio for pronunciation. Again the audio is not perfect but it is overall a wonderful site. maria

I use an accelerator in IE. Highlight the word, and right click the mouse. The list of accelerators pops up and click "bab.le" It then translates. It has sound also. to install: Right click in IE. click on "all accelerators". click on "find more accelerators". On left side of web site click on "translators". (Or go to : http://www.ieaddons.com/en/translation/). Find one that is Bab.le ( it could say chinese , german or any other language, but can be changed later to Eng-Ger. Install. Enjoy
