Thanks for the article on spelling reform. very interesting so what are the final changes referred to in the final compromise. The article seemed a bit vague about that. Alec

There are some interesting articles about the final rules online. I recommend doing a search on Google. You can seperate two verbs (but you don't have to) like kennenlernen = kennen lernen ("to get to know someone or something) spazieren gehen (to go for a walk) etc. Also when joining two words all letters are kept, as in Schifffahrt, which used to be Schiffahrt (boat trip), however there are some exceptions like "Mittag, Hoheit, dennoch)
