Hallo Rex,
All of these words are indeed colloquial, so it's best to avoid them in formal situations. As for ranking them, I wouldn't say that one is particularly stronger than the other - they can all be translated as "great" in English. You can generally use them interchangeably.
(Note, though, that in Germany it would be written as großartig.)
