Hallo TinaZ4,

schließen ("to close") is the infinitive form and geschlossen ("closed") is past participle verb form.

So you can say things like:

“Die Tür ist geschlossen.” - “The door is closed."

“Ich schließe die Tür.” - “I'm closing the door.” or

“Kannst du die Tür schließen?” - “Can you close the door?”

Hope this helps!

Viele Grüße,

Julia
