Geworden is the past participle of werden but it drops the prefix when used in the passive voice, hence worden.

From 10.6
Ich bin unterbrochen worden.
I got cut off.
Here it is passive (actually sein passive which is used to refer to a state - my state is that I am cut off)
From 7.7
Er ist am vierzehnten März krank geworden.
He became ill on the March 14th.
This is the perfect tense. ( sein is the help word for geworden)

I found a YouTube video about it:

You can also google worden vs geworden.
