When do you write “Das” and when do you write “Dass”. I am not quite sure when to add the extra “s” to the ending.

In a nutshell, RexV, das is the article "the" in the neuter form, and dass means "that" - as in, Es war so interessant, dass ich das ganze Buch gelesen habe "It was so interesting that I read the whole book."
