Hi Maxie,

Kindern in “sie kommen mit ihren drei Kindern” requires the dative case which is indicated by the preposition mit. Plural nouns in dative need an additional -n if they don't end in -s or -n, for example:

Er geht mit den Hunden spazieren. - He goes for a walk with the dogs.

Sie geht mit ihren zwei Babys spazieren. - She goes for a walk with her two babies.

Viele Grüße,

Julia

Thank you Julia

I know “Mit” takes the Dative. So never even picked that up. Sometimes the obviuos is in front of us and we miss it. With each sentence I am looking out for all sorts of other grammar points and sentence structure, that we miss the simple and the obvious.

7 of us are going to Germany in June. To the Maler Weg. I won't be hiking, but my family will. I have found a lovely looking yarn shop in Dresden which I will visit and will cycle too. Am most excited that we are going. Haven't been since long before Covid.

Take care

Sharon
