Hi is a short , more informal form of Hello. So it is a whole different word , even if it means the same thing, and by that, maybe is the reason why they have different spelling.

I wonder if the question rather involves the difference between warum and wieso as in how to spell the word "why". I'm just guessing as the way the question is worded indicated this to me

Hi Marvin,
I can even think of a third version of 'why' in German which is 'weshalb'.
There is no difference in meaning between these three words.
