Lesson 2.1

Hello, I have a question about hacer in lesson 2.1

Quiero hacer un tour con mi familia.

I want to go on a tour with my family.

Can I also say this:

Quiero ir un tour con mi familia.

I am confused on hacer as it can mean "to do" or “to go”. Since it can mean “to go” can I also use ir instead?

Thanks

No, I don't think so. I can't explain why, it just sounds wrong - much like in English if someone were to say, “I want to make a trip…”.
