Rocket Korean is a great program and I am very satisfied. Rocket Korean is an excellent study curriculum to accompany live conversation practice with my wife and her Korean family. Very easy to follow and I actually enjoy studying!
I’m up to lesson 3 of Rocket Korean and am loving it! I’ve learnt the alphabet and some words from books, but it’s great to hear the language being spoken and have a chance to learn the correct pronunciation and sentence structure of Korean. Love the hosts too. Good price. Recommend highly!
Dear Sir/Madam, I like this software/program and its price is very good. I hope to learn much from this software/program and learn other languages. I can speak Urdu/Hindi, Punjabi, Sairiki, Arabic, English and learning Korean.
Best Regards,
Muhammad Maaz
I really like this program for learning Korean. Although I've only been studying Korean for about a week I feel like I am learning a lot. I would recommend this program to anyone who would want to learn Korean or any other language that interests them.
Overall, I understand the structure of the course, but it seems like many aspects, especially in testing, are done by a cookie-cutter algorithm which makes some really critical mistakes.
First, some technical issues. I use Chrome, as recommended, and there are a few things missing. Most notably, the on-screen Korean keyboard is not there. Also, I often do not have the button to mark a Writing lesson as completed. Finally, unlike in the app, there is no way for me to cut a voice recording off if I wish to restart, which often means waiting quite a while for the program to try to sort through gibberish.
Now, for the "cookie-cutter" aspect that bothers me. Frequently in the Audio lessons, the native speakers will say something that was not part of the lesson. This is fine, except that these phrases get put in the testing sections. For example, in the very first lesson there are introductions of the two native speakers. One says that he served in the Korean Marine Corps, then was discharged and migrated to the United States with his parents. He says this in Korean. This is a great way to get acquainted with the sound of the language. However, then this phrase comes up in the testing section of the exam.

Response from Rocket Languagess:
Thanks for the thorough feedback. We discussed this in-house and have the following comments:
1. A Korean keyboard is coming, as is the ability to rate a lesson that has no Tests (like the Writing lessons).
2. That is a large undertaking for arguable impact. Nevertheless, we will add it to the discussion for upcoming features.
3. Our courses are designed so that members can pick and choose what areas they wish to work on. It's ok to leave out harder phrases and come back to them, as the system stores the individual phrases rating.
4. Again, we will add this to the discussion for future features.
5. As far as we are aware there is nothing racist about our courses. Please follow this up with customer support support @ rocketlanguages.com
it is quite interesting approach but still need to find some extra resources to understand fully especially for the extra vocab part. However, i will still recommend to friends of mine if they are looking for online korean learning
I feel that this is a pretty good intro course for Learning Korean. The saying and repeating of phrases is useful, though the conversations depicted in each lesson I feel, won't carry out the same way in real life. They're not typical conversations you'd have with Koreans you don't know, or even things you'd say to ones you do know, but you need some form of speaking to progress in any language. The testing areas reinforce what's been discussed, so if you're not advancing, you're not trying! Don't forget to buy some kind of computer microphone or you won't be able to perform the speaking part of every lesson. Also, when will there be level 2 and 3 for Korean? I'll likely buy them.
I like how they teach me to write and read a korean languages here. I'm so thankful that i found this website. It really helps me a lot. Thank you. This website helps me to learn more about korean languages and others.
I think Rocket Korean is a fun and awesome way to learn Korean. I think the free trial in Rocket Korean is very helpful for beginners and it really pushes us to work harder and become a fluent speaker. I highly recommend this website because I guarantee you that this website is the best one I've tried. I think this website is so much better than the other websites. Even though the price was not that cheap, I think it was totally worth it because it's such a fun website and in the free trial when it doesn't let you do other lessons, that's when I think,
I WANT TO BUY THIS!!!!!! And I also recommend other courses too if you're interested in not only Korean but other languages too. I also think this is very helpful because you can actually go to a country and speak fluently. So I think Rocket Korean is the best website and you should try the free trial and actually buy the website too!
I really love that I can record myself and play it back with the native speaker so I can hear and see if I am saying it like a native Korean. I have been studying on my own and find that I can read and write it really well but when it comes to understanding it being spoke I am lacking.
I really want to watch a Korean drama without subtitles and I believe Rocket Korean gives me the tools to get there.
