A great site for learning any language you want, methods are nice everything overall is nice, the only problem i have found is the really high price for it to be bought, not all people may aford that high price..

Rocket Spanish has truly helped me have a better life because my boyfriend is Mexican and we would argue because of not being able to communicate. I'm so happy now and so is my boyfriend, now husband. Thanks rocket Spanish. Pamela Roach

Summary: It is most important to start SPEAKING a language as soon as possible to get comfortable with it. I think that Rocket does a decent job getting you ready with some key phrases, pronunciation, and review, but it overloads the learner with too much new vocabulary per lesson.

Format: I really like the audio format in a nice progressive pace and it's less 'cluttered' than the popular pod101 program. The review material is very well rounded, using audio, writing practice, spanish - english and english - spanish practice, plus flashcards (english - spanish).

Overall audio quality: Try the trial to hear them speak. Decide for yourself. In my opinion, Mauricio has a good accent and Carmen speaks slowly. Amy is a dork and I get a little tired of hearing her voice. Her Spanish makes me cringe. The "repeat after me" can be very rushed and I have to pause so that I get a chance to actually repeat a phrase.

Workload: The dialogues can be quite long (some almost 45 minutes!) and the practice has WAY too much vocabulary to absorb for one lesson. I'm currently doing a lesson in Level 2 that has 117 words.

I have tried rosetta stone live mocha and berlitz. It is simple easy cost effective method of learning spanish. i have tried other software. This is great learning tool. i have tried arabic language course before. that was also good. I can learn on my pace flex schedule.

So far, I'm not happy with the way the Spanish course is taught. Lesson 1.7 was hard and seemed out of place. It seems we should have learned numbers, months, and other things first. The voice recognition doesn't seem to work. It will record my voice sometimes but has yet to tell me if I am speaking correctly or not. It only plays back my own voice, but nothing more. Sometimes the voices used by your staff are hard to understand or are speaking too fast for beginners. I'm going to keep trying, but so far, not much is sticking.

The conversations to listen, follow along with, and repeat after, are pretty good and based in some realistic contexts. They were fine. Also, some of the explanations during the text-based lessons were decent explanations. My main issues are with thereview, the study flashcards, listening and repeating, typing the sentences, then repeating them with only the translation. It felt less like trying to figure out what it was, and instead more on how much I could remember of the sentence or what I could memorize, and after about 45 days it gets old feeling like the only practice after the initial flashcards is memorization of sentences. It would be good to see some variations in those sentences for the flashcards, then the listening and repeat, then typing, then saying it. They could still use the same words maybe and have the overall vibe of the lesson, but when they're all the same exact sentences in the same exact order for four reviews in a row then it isn't really working towards figuring out what to say.

I learn the most commonly used words so I learn faster. It repeats the words and connects them in context to different daily situations. Makes it easier to remember with daily practice. Plus I get a Spanish survival kit loaded with the most essential vocabulary. Great value!

I tried Babble first and found it too difficult for a complete novice. So far, I have found Rocket much easier to follow and the tips in the first few days have been very helpful. My disappointment is the short window to purchase the full course at a reasonable (Discounted) price after downloading the free lessons. I'm not sure I have the time to devote to study right now and I will probably be interested in buying an online learning class in the future. It may not be Rocket because I will know I could have purchased it for a lower price if I had been ready in the early stages. I also would like to find a course that has an Echo Auto App for the program. I mostly listen and practice in the car and I use my echo auto to play the lessons on my car speaker. Rocket Languages is a great way to start learning Spanish. I did not like it a first but as my knowledge of Spanish grew, so did my like for this product.
